Tensions Rise as Canada's Leadership remains Silent

Montreal, Quebec:

As Canada remains silent on their decision regarding the Aliens, the opposition party has taken to the streets of Quebec in a protest of the current government.  In the words of an angry student activist named Kevin, "The inability of our government to communicate with the people, as well as the rest of the world, shows that this administration does not have the best interest of Canadians, neither the world in mind." Another protestor, forty-five year old David Audette had this to say "For years, the territory of Quebec has wanted to separate from the Canadian Confederacy, but this might be the last straw.  I haven't seen tensions this high in my lifetime."  When protestors take to the streets in opposition to a government administrations, to say that tensions are high is to say the least.  However, dissatisfaction with the current administration spans almost the entire territory of Quebec, not just Montreal where the protest broke out this morning.  A poll conducted by Illuminati News International surveying residents of the Quebec City, Laval, and Gatineau shows that 73% have negative feelings toward the current administration.  However, the bad news does not stop there for the Harper Administration, of the same people polled a whopping 59% said they would support a secession movement.    As our reporters prepared to leave the scene in Montreal, another student requested an opportunity to speak to the media.  In a statement, the student who identified himself as 'The Citizen of Quebec' declared "I am tired of this administrations failure to act in times of crises, if the Harper Administration does not allow us to secede peaceful, we will not hesitate to take up arms against Harper and his ineffective government."  With the proposed cuts to the Canadian military budget looming, maintaining control over Quebec, the economic hub of Canada, and the citizen which comprise it will become an increasingly daunting task for the Harper Administration.  How will Canada respond to these protests?  Is the end of the Canadian Union in sight?  Will this turmoil spread to other territories?
