Canadian Science

Canadian Science

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Cannon and I am head of scientific research of Canada. Recently Canada has been experiencing demonstrations and riots by the people in retort of the advances in genetics research. This advancement has instilled fear in the public of what is being pursued in the science world, and it must be properly understood.

In order to promote this understanding there will be more information provided for the people in day to day situations. The local food markets should provide pamphlets on what is GMO and what are its advantages. If more people are aware of what GMO actually is, and what it is doing to help the environment and agriculture, than the fear will be replaced with respect.

Places of business representing health should also provide pamphlets on the benefits that genetics can pose for human health. With this in action the public will become more educated about genetics as a whole and learn not to fear it.

The fast progression in researching genetics will also be considered for advancing too quickly. The gains and losses will be re-evaluated as reinforcement that the amount of research applied to genetics is good for the country as a whole. The evaluation will determine if scientific research should press forward or pull back with the use of genetics. I hope this will help calm the unrest with genetics technologies for the future.
