Latin American Executive Action Plan

We are honored that the Latin American Union was just announced as being a Global Steward of the planet. The L.A.U is devoted to showing that it is the duty of governments to promote equality among its citizens, and across the globe. However, I am greatly displeased with a report that was just released by the populace of the L.A.U stating that there is are major issues with inequality and poverty within Latin America. A report was also done by Japanese Economists that even shows light of this issue.  We can not be expected to be a global superpower in equality and humanitarian aid if we have major equality and humanitarian issues within our borders.
I am confident, though, that we can reverse these issues. Beginning immediately, I will put together board of humanitarian and equality professionals to find the root of these issues of poverty and inequality. With this information, we will be able to put our global humanitarian efforts to work in our own countries.
In the populace's report they already bring to light one issue of inequality, the “differentiated access on the influence groups have in decision making”. In order to fix this we will need to take apart the current decision making process, find where the issues lie, then correct them. This will not be a quick process, but the end result will be one that will make minorities and under-privileged citizens have a say in the decisions that affect them.
We can not be the “Steward of the Planet” with high poverty rates and a populace that feels discriminated against. If we want to remain as this superpower, we will have to fix these issues, and I will do all that I can to help this effort.

Marcos M. Marco
Executive of the L.A.U
