Canadian Military Response

As the Commander and Chief of Her Majesties Armed forces it is my responsibility to address a situation that has instilled fear in the hearts of many. The “Machine Accord” which includes, Japan, The United States, and the Latin American Union are planning on spending some where in the range of $5 Trillion to build an extraterrestrial communication machine.  To make a financial comparison, “The War on Terror” cost the United States an estimated $4 trillion, and has lasted more than 10 years. The Machine Accord plans to complete their build in 3 months. This economic suicide is not something Canada is interested, or financially capable of participating in.  The machine will be designed to send a message to a star 41 light years (Hundreds of billions of miles) away, which may or may not work. Canada and our allies are not willing to take this gamble.  Although the Canadian people are frightened, confused and infuriated they must know this is not the most productive means of investigating this ground breaking scientific discovery.  

More productive projects could be funded with the money going towards the “Machine Accords” mission. Research, telescopic observation of our galaxy scanning for anything unusual, possibly even an attempt to translate the message sent back to us before reacting instantly.  As our European allies have reported we must not get ahead of our selves.   The most ground breaking scientific discovery of all time must be treated with deepest of care and sustainable strategy. Canada comes in peace but militarily is prepared to defend our beliefs.

Although the Canadian Royal Forces face severe budget restraints, with help from the Republic of China’s Armed Forces, the Military of the European Union, and the Armed forces of the Russia Federation, our defense against any human threat has never been so strong.  I want to make it very clear that Canada and our allies will stand peacefully with all nations until threatened directly.

If our world is invaded by an alien species they are likely to be far superior technologically and militarily.  If the creatures are living among us they have done nothing to threaten or harm our species, peace and passiveness is our only option.  I want to assure the Canadian people that they are safe and in the best hands in the world.  Our alliance is strong and opinion is irrevocable.  God save the Queen.
