A Scientific Leap for Latin America

Due to the information we have gathered from this new radio signal, the Latin American union has decided to go forth with assembling this new machine. As head of the Science Department, I have personally decided this would has the potential to be an amazing discovery for mankind and therefore, we should not pass it up. Yes, it will cost more money than any of the world's economies can afford right now, however we could be in real danger if we don't go through with this.

From talking to our head of military and our executive, we have decided the Latin Americas would be the perfect place to assemble this enormous machine. We believe off all the accordance, we have the most space; deserts such as Atacama, La Guajira Desert, Monte Desert, Patagonian Desert, Sechura Desert, and the Chihuanhuan Desert can provide ample amounts of space to create this machine. With that being said, we do want to keep our climate change products going, so we haven't figured out the exact location just yet. It is still being discussed amongst us so that we do not hurt our people and their surroundings.

This will also create a leap in scientific funding for our countries, an issue I had touched on in my last post. Currently, we have our top universities in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina working on this project. It will also boost our media coverage, as you may have read from the article, Brazilian science 'invisible' in press, hears meeting. We need to be noticed; we have competent workers ready for this job and the scientists/researchers we have left are extremely excited. Hopefully, this will catch our fellow unions attentions and bring them to work with us on this mission.

We are very excited about this decision and we hope others can begin to take this into consideration.

Sincerely,
Myriam Adela
