Update for the L.A.U. People

To the people of our great union:

As the representative for the people of the Latin American Union, I am extremely pleased to report the progress made with the Machine Accord. The United States, Japan, along with the L.A.U. has developed a plan that will be of great benefit to our union. All parties involved with the Machine Accord have agreed that the machine will be developed and built somewhere in the L.A.U. Since this is such a huge undertaking, with an ever-shortening time frame, there is a significant need for workers on this project. An initial 10,000 workers have already been hired in the L.A.U to help with construction. We are working hand-in-hand with the top scientists and engineers from Japan and the United States. Since we are building this machine in our union it is coming at no cost to the people of our nation. Japan and the U.S. are financing the project; in return we are offering our natural resources, work force, and a significant plot of land.  The most beneficial aspects of this accord in respect to the populace of the Latin American are: significant job growth, guaranteed livable wages (including on site medical care), safe and sanitary working conditions, temporary housing, and free meals for workers on site.

Respectfully,

Jose Ignacio Sanchez
